This section houses various community development surveys either directly or indirectly related to Town of Butner comprehensive and strategic planning efforts. There are two types of opinion surveys used here: visual and questionnaire. We have tried to keep these short so there are multiple visual surveys (3 - 6 questions); and questionnaires (never more than 25 questions) divided into topics.

Other Surveys -- North Carolina Great Trails State Plan
Parks and recreation facilities and amenities are important to the future of Butner. They not only help us to improve our physical and mental health, they serve to attract businesses and new residents. This survey will help Butner in the future with funding for future bike, pedestrian, and parks facilities, so thank you for your participation.
The Great Trails State Plan will draw upon existing plans and new recommendations to identify a network of shared-use paths and trails that connects every county in North Carolina, with a focus on connections between population centers and North Carolina State Parks. The primary outcome of this planning process is to develop a statewide trail map coupled with an action-oriented network plan and 5-year implementation strategy.
The Great Trails State Plan is being led by the N.C. Department of Transportation’s Integrated Mobility Division, in coordination with the NCDOT Transportation Planning Division and North Carolina State Parks.
